Gwen Stevenson
Gwen Stevenson is a socially engaged visual artist working across art and technology to create highly sensory installations, environments and experiences that promote wellness and healing contributing towards positive change for a fairer and more sustainable world.
An award-winning international visual artist working both individually and collaboratively, Gwen is the recipient of the 2021/22 Major Individual Artists’ Digital Evolution Award, working at the interface of arts and technology.
With experience as a socially engaged artist facilitator in Youth, Health, Community, Disability, Older Peoples, and Intercultural Arts projects across Northern Ireland, Gwen’s career spans 20 years. The outcomes of these commissions have included public art pieces, events, exhibitions, site-specific installations, short film, digital stories, and publications within cultural, community and educational contexts. She is a founder member of several artist initiatives and collectives. Gwen represented Ireland at Estudio Abierto, a festival of contemporary art and culture in Buenos Aires.
