Arlene Marks
Arlene Marks graduated from the University of Ulster, Belfast with a BA Hons in Visual Communication in 2004. Ten years later, Arlene set up Murals and Marks, painting murals for homes and businesses, which led her down the path of her current work in Fine Art painting.
Now working with neurodiverse children by day and painting by night, Arlene’s current work largely focuses on a repeated circle motif; a calming, therapeutic shape, used in the videos and lighting of sensory rooms. It is also reminiscent of bokeh photography, an effect created when blurring sources of light resulting in orbs.
